In my work, camels symbolize modern people—figures who carry the visible and invisible weights placed upon them. The camel’s hump, often perceived simply as a burden, becomes a metaphor for the responsibilities and expectations that shape our lives. Just as a camel moves slowly across the vast desert, we too move through our own landscapes of challenges, uncertainty, and endurance. From a distance, the hump may seem like a heavy load, yet it is precisely what enables the camel to survive harsh conditions. In this duality, I see a reflection of the human condition: the coexistence of hardship and strength, struggle and resilience.
At the same time, the hump is not only a symbol of weight—it is a reservoir of life. It stores the energy that sustains the camel in moments when the journey becomes most difficult. Likewise, the burdens we carry often become the very forces that propel us forward, shaping our growth and reminding us of our inner capacity to endure. Through this imagery, my work invites viewers to reconsider the meaning of responsibility and to recognize that what feels heavy may also be what gives life its purpose. Ultimately, the camel becomes a gentle reminder that our struggles and our strengths are inseparable, forming the foundation of who we are.
