I am an artist who works through the character ‘Dansang Cat’. True to its name, Dansang Cat conveys fragmentary stories of life.

Within contemporary art, where diverse artistic forms coexist, my practice is grounded in character-based painterly expression. Dansang Cat functions as a mediator between the artist and the viewer, visually expressing personal memories and social experiences embedded with narratives of everyday life. My work begins with relationships connected to me and with the experiences encountered in daily living.

Although all lives are not identical, they share similar experiences and countless points of intersection within the same era. Through Dansang Cat, I explore and express the diverse stories that emerge from these intersections.

Through my work, I aim to recall precious fleeting moments of life, evoke the memories and stories of viewers, and create a space for empathy and communication centered on the value of everyday life.
