Trace: Gestures of Existence

My painting begins with the movement of the body. I treat the canvas as a stage, leaving traces through walking, turning, and leaping—gestures that record emotion, breath, and time. These marks are not performances, but evidence of existence layered into paint.

As a K-pop idol as well as an artist, my body is already trained to communicate through rhythm, movement, and energy. I extend that physical language into painting, where dance, sound, and color intersect. Pigment bleeds, cracks form, and surfaces dry into memory, transforming motion into visual time.

My work explores existence beyond form, declaring: I leave traces—and on them, I paint my dreams.
