Cats are my persona, and this work began with a question: how can I portray something so small and fragile without making it seem insignificant?
Why do I focus on cats? What do I want to convey through them? It's to show that, as living beings, cats are not so different from us. In my work, I want to capture the moment that we notice something acquire meaning that previously we had ignored or deprived of meaning.

When such a moment arises, that being is no longer insignificant. I don't seek to create pretty, cute cats. The cats in this work are rough, vibrant beings, symbols of those struggling to move forward without losing their identity.
